Marissa Marin
Paralegal
Meet Marissa Marin, a highly motivated and detail-oriented paralegal with a strong background in litigation support. Prior to joining Benouis Law, she worked at a civil litigation firm specializing in personal injury and insurance defense. At her prior firm, she learned the importance of client relations and has carried that into her time at Benouis Law. Marissa aims to make clients feel listened to, heard, and important.
During the 2021 Texas Legislative Session, Marissa served as a Governmental Relations Aide, where she tracked critical legislation developments and maintained communication between the State Bar of Texas and members of the State Bar of Texas. She also served as a Grand Juror for Bexar County, reviewing extensive case evidence and collaborating with fellow jurors to uphold legal integrity during prosecutorial proceedings.
Originally from Houston, Marissa grew up in San Antonio and earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in History, from Texas State University. She now calls Austin home and enjoys exploring the city with her boyfriend and their Bernedoodle puppy. Marissa is extremely family oriented and when she is not spending time in Austin, she is driving to San Antonio to spend time with her parents, younger sister and her child-hood dogs.
Marissa also cherishes spending time traveling. In recent years she has visited states along the East Coast, Tezoatlán, Oaxaca, West Africa, and London. Marissa is a huge foodie and enjoys trying new things and experiencing new flavors. In her down time, Marissa enjoys rewatching Gilmore Girls, Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy.
Marissa is deeply inquisitive about all aspects of the law and has aspirations of attending law school and becoming an attorney.
